Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. Amy Smart was raised in California, USA. She began modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted for her in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy persevered. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy later stepped into lead parts in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of trying. Amy continued to make major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved as a recurring role.
